QUARANTINED DAY 8

SKIN SAFE RUBBING ALCOHOL

Today started like any other day. First, I am happy I woke up feeling good. I started my day by having a little breakfast, showering, and then watching some TV. As I sat and thought about what is going on, it hit me that I am really vulnerable and at risk for COVID-19. I understand that everyone is scared and worried about what is true and not true about this disease. However, people like me worry about things even beyond it.

I have medicine that I have to inject IM. If you don’t know what IM is, that means “intramuscular injection“. So, I have been trying to find alcohol for more that a week now. I prefer 70% as it is not as abrasive as the 91% but either will do. Understand, that to give myself the medicine, I have to have something to clean the area that I will be injecting. If I don’t clean the area, I risk getting infection. So, what do I do? I have no alcohol and being disabled it is hard to keep trying to go store to store to find some. I put myself at risk for things I need to live. The few I find for sale online are charging $20.00 or more for a product I normally pay $2.00 for.
